Styling Tips | Choosing The Right Chair Style For Your Wedding

Outdoor dining

It may not be obvious but your wedding chairs actually play a huge role in the overall look and feel of your day. When you think about it, the chairs are usually the very first element that you notice as you walk into a reception, meaning they immediately set the tone for the rest of the space. Sometimes couples can get so caught up in the styling of their tablescape that they forget to think about the impact of the chairs. In our opinion, having beautiful chairs for your wedding reception is absolutely worth the investment as they really do lift the entire space and leave a lasting impression. We have several different options at Hampton Event Hire when it comes to wedding chair hire, and one of our most frequently asked questions is from clients trying to match the right style of chair to complement their wedding vision. Have a look through our range below with our top styling tips for each of our chairs!

WALNUT BENTWOOD CHAIR

Walnut bentwood chairs are one of our most popular options for chair hire. They are perfect for couples wanting a relaxed and organic styled wedding but with a slightly more refined and sophisticated tone. Walnut bentwood chairs work well with earthy, neutral colours but we also love them with soft linens and deep berry tones. Add some rattan charger plates and stone napkins to bring the whole look together!

WHITE BENTWOOD CHAIR

Oh how we love our white bentwood chairs! These are one of our favourite wedding chair styles as they are incredible versatile and add so much beauty to any table setting. These chairs are also an easy solution if you need to brighten up a darker venue and add some freshness to a space. The white bentwood chair is a timeless chair hire option and looks stunning in pretty much any tablescape, but we can’t go past the classic combination of pastels, grey linen, wooden tables and white florals – especially inside a clear marquee or under an intimate white gazebo.

TIFFANY CHAIR

Tiffany chairs (or Chiavari chairs) are the perfect option for couples wanting to add a bit of elegance and glamour to their day. They definitely bring a stylish and refined tone to any table setting and are super comfortable with their padded seat cushions. We have three different colours available in whitebamboo and walnut. We absolutely love our white tiffany chairs paired with a blush and gold colour scheme, pastel linens and glittering fairy lights, or for a more relaxed event our walnut tiffany chairs look amazing styled with fresh whites and greens. Complete the look with our clear beaded charger plates and gold cutlery.

FRENCH BISTRO CHAIR

French bistro chairs are best suited for rustic or country style weddings and events. We love using these chairs in barn weddings, paired with long rows of wooden dining tables, strings of festoon lighting and plenty of candles and foliage. They are also a great option for ceremony seating, as they are so lightweight and easily moveable, and look beautiful with a timber ceremony arbour. Because they are so easy to transport, you can use these chairs for your ceremony seating and then re-use them in your reception later in the night. This wedding chair hire option is also a cost effective solution for couples on a budget.
