With the most loved up day of the year just around the corner, we thought this would be the perfect time to share our favourite romantic Valentine’s Day wedding inspiration!

When you think about it, it’s pretty special having a whole day dedicated to love – we can see why so many couples choose to get married on Valentine’s Day.  But when it comes to planning and styling a Valentine’s themed wedding, there can be a fine line between romantic and cheesy. Check out our favourite styling ideas below to help create a beautiful and refined Valentine’s day wedding – you can view all our inspiration via our Valentines Day Pinterest board here!

There is no such thing as too many flowers for a Valentine’s themed wedding! We love seeing fluffy pink and white peonies and roses decorating tablescapes. Dress up your bar with big baskets of pretty blooms, or include a rose petal toss at your ceremony.

We love seeing balloons at weddings too – make a statement behind the bridal table or dessert station with a heart shaped balloon backdrop, or tie balloons to your bride and groom chairs to create a fun feature (that will also look amazing in photography!) Deck out your bridal car with oversized colourful balloons to make a standout entrance and to leave your guests with a sweet lasting memory as your drive away.

SWEETS AND TREATS

No Valentines day wedding would be complete without a table full of sweet treats – get creative with your desserts and serve cute heart shaped biscuits, donuts and personalised cookies in shades of pink and red. Print a sweet message on your cake bags for guests to fill with snacks and take home. And of course lots of sprinkles!

Add a personalised and thoughtful touch to your favours to make them extra special for your wedding guests. Pretty floral wrapping paper, ribbon, confetti and cute love notes are just a few ways to add a romantic touch to your bonbonnieres for Valentine’s day and to give your guests something beautiful to take home. Scented candles or bath salts are a great option for guest favours for Valentine’s inspired weddings.

DRINKS

We love the idea of creating a signature cocktail to celebrate this day of love! Think rosewater and lychee martini’s and bottles of rosé lined up at the bar (with pink lemonade for the younger ones!). Create a ‘his’ and ‘hers’ cocktail to add a sweet and personal touch to reflect you and your partner.

You can also incorporate florals into your cocktails too – freeze some flower petals into ice cube for a simple but beautiful touch.
