Don’t forget to organise a ceremony signing table! After exchanging your I-do’s, you’ll be whisked away to sign your marriage certificate and will need a signing table and 2 chairs for the occasion.
Many couples assume a signing table and chairs are provided by their celebrant, but this is not always the case. And while some celebrants do provide these items, they may not be aligned with your wedding theme and vision.
Tip: choose a signing table and chair combination that will compliment the aesthetic of your day, as it will become a beautiful photo moment. So you’ve booked your cake, but have you thought about the accessories you’ll need to serve it to your guests? Don’t forget to organise servingware such as a cake stand, cake table, cake knife, cake plates and cake forks. These items are not always provided by venues – and if you’re planning a DIY wedding at a blank canvas location, you’ll definitely need to supply them yourself.

Speaking of cocktail hour, have you remembered to arrange some seating options for your guests? Even if your cocktail hour is only going for an hour or two, it’s definitely a good idea to have some comfortable areas for guests to rest their feet.
Depending on the size of your guest list, this could be a lounge package or two, some bar tables and stools, or some cafe tables and chairs. Again, be inspired by your wedding theme and vision and choose complimentary items to help you create a cohesive look.

Finally, don’t forget to arrange glassware and possibly a service bar for some post-ceremony drinks. Typically, you’ll find guests will hang around the ceremony area for 20-30 minutes after your nuptials to share their congratulations and take family and group photos. If this is the case, you may want to set-up a service bar, glassware and ice buckets so they can enjoy a drink while they wait.
