What a whirlwind this has been! No one expected it and we don’t really know how this chapter will end. Firstly we want to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful clients, suppliers and staff. Your support has been nothing short of astonishing and a very large part of why we love doing what we do.
The year started with our first ever launch event for Hampton Event Hire – and what a night it was! Check out our full wrap up here. Joined by 100 guests throughout the wedding and event industry (including stylists, planners and event managers), we showcased our new Havana collection to share just how versatile the range can be. The luxe warehouse space at The Joinery West End was the perfect blank canvas for us to showcase our 2020 collections, and we were lucky enough to collaborate with a host of wonderful suppliers who helped us create each styled space.
Soon after coming off this high we were hit with the unexpected global pandemic that no one saw coming and we certainly didn’t think would ever be like it has been. We are now looking forward and, with a glimmer of hope, starting to work to a new ‘normal.’
The team returned to the office in May, taking calls and responding to your emails. And slowly but surely we have seen weddings and events start to happen again. Our warehouse crew spent the downtime in maintenance mode, continuing to make sure all of our inventory was looking amazing, our warehouse was in order and our trucks sparkled.
We also opened our warehouse fully, creating a studio space where we collaborated with some of our industry’s amazing creatives, stylists and florists. It created such a flurry of energy to really get everyone thinking positively again. Our studio was a simple space crafted to be a blank canvas that wouldn’t limit the imagination. Approximately 6m x 5m in size with white walls and a grey painted cement flooring. We were blown away by everything that was created. Follow this link to see our recap blog!
Now the time has come, events are back in action, our wheels have started to turn and we are ready to hit the ground running. 2021 is going to be a huge year, in more ways than one and we couldn’t be more excited!
