Featuring an authentic 100-year old barn, lush acres of tropical gardens and a secluded ceremony space perched over a running stream, this hidden oasis offers everything you need to throw an unforgettable party. Conveniently located just 15 minutes from Broadbeach and 20 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport, The Acre also has a dedicated wedding manager on hand to oversee your special day from start to finish.
With all-inclusive packages, a seriously impressive menu (perfect for foodies!) and a variety of unique backdrops for your bridal party portraits, The Acre is also available for ceremony-only packages, micro-weddings, tipi weddings and elopements.

What was the inspiration behind the venue, and where did it all begin?
Boomerang Farm on the Gold Coast is the property that The Acre is located on, and has hosted weddings for many years, but in November 2019 the 100 year old authentic barn was given a refresh and rebrand to become The Acre.
The name came from the acres of lush tropical hinterland that surround the secluded venue. We wanted to keep the authenticity of the original barn that includes a built in bar and fireplace but modernise it a little by adding some fairy lights inside and some fresh touches outside with white fencing and a palm tree ceremony location on the lawn.
What kind of weddings are best suited to your venue?
We are an all inclusive, full service wedding venue with a dedicated ceremony deck overlooking the river, large open lawns for cocktail hour, abundant options for bridal party photos and an indoor barn with adjoining dancefloor for the party, so once you arrive at our venue, you don’t need to leave.
Because our venue is so big, with so many different areas, we can host all kinds of weddings, from large sit down events, to intimate ceremonies and elopements, even tipi or marquee weddings on our open lawn area. Plus there will be a new custom built wedding space coming soon that offers even more flexibility to suit all kind of wedding styles.

Can you share some of the cool features your venue has to offer?
Our venue is all inclusive so you don’t need to worry about leaving our property and wasting time in transit, meaning you have more time to party and spend with your loved ones.
When you come through the gates at Boomerang Farm you will instantly feel like you are miles away from the real world, while only being 20 minutes from the beach and popular Gold Coast accomodation locations.
And if our lush natural surrounds aren’t enough to entice you, our food most definitely will. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality of dining experience for all wedding guests. With our menus developed from the creators of acclaimed Tweed Coast restaurants Taverna and Osteria and led by celebrity chef Matt Kemp, signature dishes like Banaglow pork belly, 24hr slow cooked lamb and Byron Bay bush honey halloumi are sure to impress even the most seasoned foodies.
